On The Same Page Boston’s team  is passionately motivated  by various different things. Some of us may remember how reading impacted us as kids, and some are inspired to improve reading statistics in Boston Public Schools.

As we begin working this semester, our class has divided into groups and is eager to get to work as a team!.The two students working on TikTok, Timi and Mathew, are excited to breathe new life into the social media platform by making videos about nostalgic children's books to draw viewers in.

“I really wanted to join the TikTok team because I have a lot of fun creating content on the side, not just by myself but with my friends,” Timi said. “Whether it's playing chess or just having fun, I really just love entertaining people.”

The collateral team is larger than usual this semester, with many of our classmates showing a passion for business management. They hope to fragment their leadership so they can have centralized communication with each group that a project lead is working with.

“I really like management and outreach when it comes to expressing my advocacy,” said collateral team member Jazzy. “I felt like that was where I could contribute best to a cause I really care about.”

Our marketing team is also setting off the launch with big aspirations for the team. This spring, our marketing team plans on collaborating with the social media teams to increase awareness, and improve organizing  efforts within the Emerson College community. They hope to prioritize OTSP’s visibility on Emerson campus by marketing at sporting events, distributing donation boxes, and hosting book drives.

“I wanted to gain more experience and learn more about working in a team so I can take what we do and apply it to the work I’m doing at College Athlete Network, my own nonprofit,” says Guillermo, a marketing team member.

As for the Instagram/FaceBook team focusing on meta platforms, they would like to expand and improve the existing social media accounts by introducing more targeted and visually appealing content.

“We think posting on Instagram and Facebook is a great way to connect with people in the Boston area. This mission is really important for giving back and helps to make sure that every public school has a fully stocked library. This is a great way to help people get the resources they need.”

Aside from posting on these platforms to raise awareness, OTSP's Linkedin team also hopes to expand upon their skills as young professionals.

“Kate and I are passionate about Linkedin and giving back to others, so On the Same Page gives us the experience to grow both our personal and professional page.”

All of our teams are excited to get to work and make a difference within the Boston community, one chapter at a time.
