Na Mesma Página Boston é um grupo de defesa dirigido por estudantes que trabalha para reduzir a disparidade educacional nas escolas de Boston. Todo semestre, fazemos parceria com um professor de uma Escola Pública de Boston para criar uma lista de desejos de livros. Com a ajuda da comunidade da grande Boston, fornecemos livros diversos e inclusivos a esses alunos.

Somos apaixonados por oferecer aos alunos uma variedade diversificada de livros nos quais eles se sintam representados. A exposição a uma ampla variedade de livros melhora o vocabulário e as habilidades linguísticas.

Todos merecem a oportunidade de fazer parte de uma história.

As of Spring 2024, On The Same Page has distributed a total of 6,920 books to 7 different public schools in the Boston area, serving a total of 3,717 students.

193 Emerson College students have gained hands-on experience through participation with On The Same Page.

Meet the Fall 2024 Team

Website Team

Matthew Guerber (he/him) is a senior theatre major from Washington, D.C., concentrating in arts administration and theatre management. His favorite books growing up were the Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osbourne.
Hazel Armstrong-McEvoy (she/her) is a sophomore at Emerson College with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Nonprofit Communications. She grew up on the Big Island of Hawai'i, but resides in southern New Hampshire when not at school. Her favorite book as a kid was Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak!

Blog Team

Sally Becket (she/her) is a senior Writing, Literature and Publishing major with minors in Marketing and Nonprofit Communications. Her lifelong love of reading lead her to her aspirations of entering the publishing industry. Sally's favorite book growing up was The School For Good and Evil by Soman Chainani.
Adora Brown (she/her) is a senior journalism major with minors in nonprofit communication and hearing & deafness. Her love for reading was ignited at a young age, which led her down a path of creative and nonfiction writing. Adora's favorite books growing up were Notes from a Liar and Her Dog by Gennifer Choldenko and anything written by Rick Riordan.

Basil Morales is a junior majoring in BCE, from Managua, Nicaragua. His favorite book growing up was the classic Charlotte's Web.
Emma Weiss (she/her), is a junior creative writing major with a minor in nonprofit communication. Her favorite book growing up was Purple Princess Wins the Prize by Alyssa Crowne.
Zach Pinto (they/he), is a sophomore Political Communications Major with a minor in nonprofit communication, from Pawtucket Rhode Island. Their favorite book growing up was On Mothers Lap.

Emma Cudahy (she/her), senior at Emerson College studying Political Communications. She grew up in the Bay Area in California, where her love for reading grew every day during recess in her elementary school library. Her favorite book growing up was Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes.
Kash Connors (he/him) is an interdisciplinary major, and excited to work with the books because he feel's like it's a really good education opportunity for the kids!

Gabi Winder-Huntanar (she/her) is a Political Communications major. She grew up in New Jersey and moved to Germany during her Freshman year of High School. Her favorite books to read growing up were the Rainbow Magic book series.
Alex Menendez (he/him) is a senior BCE major and Marketing Communications minor. He is from Chicago, IL and part of the Emerson Men’s Lacrosse team. His love for reading started at a young age thanks to the Hunger Games series

Liberty Ice (she/her) is a BCE major. She has grown up living in multiple countries, but DC feels the most like home. Her favorite books growing up were the Percy Jackson series.

Kalyn Thompson is a junior interdisciplinary studies major with a focus on film production and acting, and a minor in entrepreneurial studies. Their favorite childhood book is ‘Liar and Spy’ by Rebecca Stead!
McKenna Couch (she/her) is a junior Business of Creative Enterprises major with a Nonprofit Communication minor from Austin, TX. Her favorite book growing up was Matilda by Roald Dahl, which she still loves today.

Marketing/PR Team

Hazel Fitzpatrick (she/her) is completing a major in communication studies with a double minor in nonprofit communications and leadership/management. Hazel lives in Washington, D.C. when she’s not at school. Her favorite book growing up was The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein; its message helped shape who she is today.
Jessica Wang is a senior majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Nonprofit Communication. Jessica believes that bias exists because people do not see the world in a comprehensive way. If we want to solve this fundamental problem, we must start with children. Books are the simplest way for children to see the world, and they are also the fastest way to get rid of bias. Her favorite book since childhood is The Little Prince.
