This semester, students in CC 316, Non-Profit Campaigns are collecting books on behalf of On The Same Page Boston for Lilla G. Frederick Elementary School a Boston Public School in Dorchester, MA. Frederick Elementary honors the legacy of Ms. Frederick, who was a treasured advocate of the Grove Hall community youth.

Her vision was a school where students from diverse backgrounds could thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, supported by strong teaching and close community connections.

Opened in Fall of 2026, Frederick Elementary is a newly formed merger of Roger Clap Elementary and John Winthrop Elementary.

As the first ever Cape Verdean-Creole dual-language school in the region, Frederick Elementary cultivates a joyful, inclusive, and multilingual learning community where children grow as learners and as people.

The Boston Public School has $0 library budget this year. As an historically underfunded classroom, On The Same Page Boston is inspired to work extra hard to amend that.
